How Can the Church be of the Same Mind?

How Can the Church be of the Same Mind?

Bob Oliver

“I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”   1 Corinthians 1:10

There is only one way all Christians can be of the same mind. The Bible must be the final word in all that we say and all that we do. When I was a young preacher I had a radio program in which I answered Bible questions. I was only twenty-four or twenty-five years of age at the time. One listener wrote in, “Why should anyone believe your interpretation when our preacher has been preaching longer than you have lived and has a different interpretation?” My answer to that, I believe, is the answer to this question. It is not my interpretation, or the interpretation of someone else that matters. It is God’s interpretation that matters.

God gives people the right to disagree with His interpretation, but they will bear the consequences. Be sure you have obeyed what God has given us to do in all matters.
