The Love of God
The incredible love of God,
Who can truly comprehend?
For this love has incredible breadth (Ephesians 3:18).
To all mankind this love He did send (John 3:16).
His love has great length (Ephesians 3:18),
Throughout all eternity it has spanned (Ephesians 1:4).
God’s love is one of awesome height (Ephesians 3:18),
Allowing lowly people to reach Christ’s holy hand (Titus 3:7).
God’s love is one of depth (Ephesians 3:18),
To every sinner it is expanding (2 Peter 3:9).
This wonderful love is so far reaching,
It surpasses human understanding (Ephesians 2:19).
Best of all, God is full and overflowing with this love,
And wishes to share it with us all (Ephesians 2:19).
So let us obey and take hold of this extraordinary gift (John 14:15, 21),
Then with this love God’s salvation on us will befall (Acts 2:37-41).
